Summary :
In order to ensure proper function of the layout preview in the Web Dynpro ABAP View Designer in SE80, it is critical to activate specific HTTP services via the SICF transaction. Failure to activate these services results in a "403 Forbidden" message. Relevant services include /default_host/sap/public/bc/webdynpro, /default_host/sap/public/bc/webdynpro/ViewDesigner, /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro, and /default_host/sap/bc/wdvd. Detailed activation instructions are available in Note 1088717. Additionally, implementation of correction instructions from Note 1461387 checks the status of ICF nodes upon accessing the View Designer.
