Due to SAP Note 993286, formula variables replaced before aggregation in BW 3.x and always post-aggregation in BI 7.0 result in displaying 'X'. Implementing the recognized correction allows use of program RSR_VAR_REPPATH_AGGREGATION to set the calculation time pre-aggregation. Alternatively, settings in Query Designer post-Frontend Patch 15, creation of formula variables with replacement from "Characteristic key", and implementation of critical preceding notes are necessary for stable system function. Ensure adherence to detailed instructions in associated support package notes and potential preliminary versions thereof.
