Revaluation of part of the stock of a material at retail is notpossible because no stocks are managed for a generic material but forthe associated variants.
When you enter a generic material, the system does not know the numberof variants for which you want to revaluate at retail.

Check your entries. If you want to revaluate part of the stock atretail, enter the material number of a variant.
