Diagnosis
All assortment grades that appear at the end of the assignment (on theright-hand side) should be defined as the result assortment grade. Ifyou choose not to do this, you will need to take great care when youmaintain assortment grade rules in Customizing.
The following construction poses no problems:

,, 3,,,,1 + 2 + 3
,, 4,,,,1 + 3 + 4 (gaps are possible)
You may have a construction resembling the following, however:

,, 2,,,,1 + 2 + 4
,, 3,,,,1 + 2 + 3 + 5
It will only be possible to make practical use of this construction ifyou assign the result assortment grade only to assortments and theassortment grades that make up the result assortment grade only tomaterials.
Reducing a material from grade 5 to 3, for example, means that thematerial will now only be assigned to assortments that have the resultgrades 1 and 3 in the above example.
