Diagnosis
The following problems can trigger this message:

• an asynchronous task has a check function module and the event type
linkage is not activated.

• a completed event has been flagged as global in the type linkage table.


• The instance linkage between the required event and the specified work
item cannot be entered in the type linkage table of the event manager.
The reason is either a database error or an error when generatinginternal linkage numbers.

System Response
The action was terminated.

Procedure
Check the following settings:


• Check the event type linkage and if necessary, activate it. Choose
Utilities -> Events -> Type linkages

• Choose the work item containing errors from the work item selection and
then choose Edit -> Work items -> Restart after error

• Check the number range object SWE_EVTID
