Diagnosis
There are two possible reasons for this message:

• The intermediate document item contains a material for which split
valuation is carried out. However, the valuation type is not entered.

• The intermediate document item contains a material which is handled in

batches. However, a batch is not entered.

System Response
The system cannot update the item.

Procedure
You can enter the valuation type or batch using the intermediatedocument editor and then update the intermediate document again.
