Diagnosis
The EAN (International Article Number) must contain a valid EAN prefixdue to the EAN category assigned to it. ThisEAN does not contain a valid EAN prefix.

Procedure
You have the following options:

• Enter a number with a valid prefix.


• Ask your system administrator to extend the list of valid EAN prefixes
in Customizing for the Material Master in the activityDefine Prefixes for EANs/UPCs.
