Diagnosis
In the agreement (see arrangements in Purchasing oragreements in Sales and Distribution) there areconditions, for which the fieldsettlement material cannot be proposed fromthe condition record key, because the condition does not refer to amaterial.
In SD, the settlement material is needed to create a credit memo,because an item is created with this material.
In purchasing, the settlement material determines the conversionfactors for material-specific unit conversion, because the vendorbusiness volume is not updated for the material. The settlementmaterial can be used for later conversions, where necessary. Thesettlement material is also used (material short text, accountdetermination, tax classification) for creating the settlementdocuments (credit memos and billing documents).
