Diagnosis
Either of the following applies:

• The main items of the existing delivery contain batches. The system
cannot assign another handling unit with a different batch withoutcreating a new delivery item.

• The system cannot assign another handling with a different storage
location without creating a new delivery item.

System Response
Multiple deliveries for the same scheduling agreement are not allowed(see message VL454).

Procedure
If you use batches in handling units and want to add new items to adelivery or create a new delivery by using transaction VL10HU, set theparameter Always Split Batches in Customizing for the listprofile (user role).
If you do so, the system no longer writes batches to main items.Instead, it always creates a batch split item, even if the HU that isincluded in the delivery only contains one batch.
