SAP Message VHU01172 - A reference material must be maintained as material master record

Diagnosis You want to enter a reference material packing instruction for amaterial. This reference material is a materialand requires a material master record. You have not yet created amaterial master record. Procedure First, create the reference material packing instruction (View:Basic Data 1 suffices). You can now enter this material as areference material packing instruction for another material.
