Diagnosis
The system has derived the date of production, but has not yet derivedthe shelf life expiration date. In this situation, the system tries tocalculate the shelf life expiration date. However, it has notcalculated this because the derived date of production is blank.

System Response
The blank shelf life expiration date is the result of the derivation.
Whether an error or a warning message is issued when the blank field istransferred to the receiving batch depends on:

• The contents of the field in the receiving batch


• The rule defined for the date of production in the condition record

The shelf life expiration date inherits the rule of the date ofproduction because it does not have its own rule.

Procedure


• Either:

Check the date of production and the shelf life expiration date
If necessary, enter these manually in the receiving batch

• Or:

Maintain the date of production in the sending batch/es and repeat thederivation.
