Diagnosis
In Customizing for Batch Management or in the Business Add-In(BAdI) you have defined that no documentary batches should be enteredfor material &V1& and plant &V2&.
Therefore, you cannot enter any documentary batches in this function.

System Response
The system first checks the settings for the material type inCustomizing and then in the BAdI method PRODUCT_CHANGE.
Even if you have defined the entry of documentary batches for thismaterial type, you can use the BAdI method to control that nodocumentary batches can be entered for certain material/plantcombinations.

Check the settings you have made in Customizing forBatch Management:
