Diagnosis
In Customizing for Batch Management you have either deactivated thewhere-used list for plant &V1& or you have defined that it is updatedasynchronously.
As a rule, you use documentary batches to use the where-used list.
Therefore, it does not make sense to use documentary batches when thewhere-used list has been deactivated.

Procedure
Check the settings you have made for the where-used list inCustomizing for Batch Management.
