SAP Message 12180 - Batches cannot be created for materials with the material type &1

Diagnosis You want to create a batch for a material with material type &V1& . In Customizing, you have defined that batches cannot be assignedinternally or externally for this material type. Therefore, you cannot create batches for materials with material type&V1&. Procedure Change the Customizing configuration for material type &V1& toallow the internal and external assignment of batch numbers formaterials belonging to this material type.
