System Response
The system has adopted the base unit of measure (or theunit of issue) shown in the material master recordas the order unit.
The unit of issue is always adopted if it has been defined in thematerial master record. If the unit of issue has not been defined, thebase unit is adopted as the order unit for the item.

Procedure
If you want to order using a different unit of measure, check whetheryou can change the unit of issue in the storage data of the materialmaster record.
You also have the option of working with variable units. If you set theindicator "Variable unit of measure" to "1" in the material masterrecord, you can use all the units of measure that have been maintainedin the material master record.
