SAP Message /SAPPCE/JVAM1044 - Venture and JOA number range intervals are not the same

Diagnosis
You want to use a joint venture master data profile to create a jointventure. The advantage of using this is that you can create a jointventure without having to first create a joint operating agreement. Thesystem creates the joint operating agreement.
As you chose a joint venture master data profile with external numberassignment, the number range intervals for the joint venture and jointoperating agreement create that you want to create must be identical.The number range intervals, however, are not identical.

System Response

  • The system reads the necessary data, such as the venture class and the
    • joint operating agreement class from the joint venture master dataprofile.
    • The system gets the number range intervals from the venture class and
      • joint operating agreement. The system needs this data to create thejoint venture and the joint operating agreement.
      • When the external numbers are assigned, the system checks if the number
        • range intervals are identical. As this is not the case, the processingis canceled.

        Procedure for System Administration
        Check if the number range intervals are identical.
        First determine which number range intervals are assigned to the jointoperating agreement class in the joint venture master data profile andto the venture class.
        You assign the venture class and joint operating agreement class for thejoint venture master data profile in Customizing for Joint VentureAccounting by choosing Project Risk Management for PlantEngineering and Construction -> Master Data for Joint VentureProcessing -> Define Joint Venture Master Data Profile.
        You assign the number range interval to a venture class in Customizingfor Joint Venture Accounting, by choosing Master Data ->Venture Class.
        You assign a number range interval to a joint operating agreement classin Customizing for Joint Venture Accounting, by choosingMaster Data -> JOA Class.
        To establish if the number range intervals are identical, in Customizingfor Joint Venture Accounting, choose Master Data ->Number Range Maintenance.
        To process the number range interval for the joint operating agreement,choose object JV_JOA.
        To process the number range interval for the joint operating agreement,choose object JV_JOA.
