System Response Each generated extension object has a prefix with the value "&V1&". Thenames of generated InfoObjects are limited to 9 characters. The systemassures the prefix, for example ZQ5A>, is not overwritten by thecounter. In the course of generating increasing objects increasing spaceis occupied at the end of the objects' names. Therefore, a long namespace restrains the number of custom objects that can be generated.Procedure Make settings in view Middleware Parameter> (SMOFPARSFA) asfollows: Key> ,,BIRFC> Parameter Name> ,,EXTENSIBILITY> Param. Name 2> ,,NAMESPACE> The setting in Param. Value> is used as prefix for generatedInfoObjects. The generated name consists of the following data:
- Name space
- Source system ID (see transaction
RSA1>)
- The first relevant characters of the CRM source field as defined in the
extract structure
- An alphanumerical counter value
For example, the name ZQ5AFLD3F> consists of the name space Z >, the source system ID Q5>, the relevant part of the sourcefield name AFLD>, and the counter value 3F>. The sourcefield name's prefix A> is used and defined by the extensibilityframework. We recommend to restrict to a name space length of 5 characters.
