Diagnosis
You called the editing of follow-up/replacement material relationshipsfrom the material master. When you jump directly from the materialmaster, the original material of a follow-up/replacement materialrelationship must be the material you are editing in the materialmaster. If a generic material is involved, you can only use a variant ofthe generic material as the original material, but not the genericmaterial itself.

System Response
When you jump directly to the editing of follow-up/replacementmaterials, you cannot display, create, change, or delete any otherfollow-up/replacement material relationships.

Procedure
Select the material (or a variant of the generic material) that you areediting in the material master as the original material.
