Diagnosis
You have activated the material data check as part of the master datachecks to be carried out by the system. The check is to be carried outfor an article that is identified using EAN. However, no material numberexists for the EAN, although this is required for the material check.

Procedure
If a material is identified in the PIPE using the EAN instead of thematerial number, you also have to activate the EAN check to verify thematerial data, since otherwise the material number assigned to the EANis not determined or enriched. In this case therefore, activate the EANcheck for the relevant check profile in Customizing.
