Functionality
This function is used to get the Sequence Number and validate it foruse in the SPEC2000 Initial Provisioning Upload Program.
It does two types of checks for a new upload:
1. It checks whether the Model of Applicability/Customer/Transmitter inthe file is already existing in a different Sequence Number.
If it exists then a list of all matching Sequence Numbers is displayedto the user with the option of merging the new upload into the sameSequence Number. The user has the option of selecting from this list orentering a totally new Sequence Number.If he selects a Sequence Numberthen it is taken as the Sequence Number for the Upload.
2. If the Model of Applicability/Customer/Transmitter in the file doesnot match any existing uploads then a screen is displayed where theuser can enter a new Sequence Number.
After entering the new number the system again checks to see if theSequence Number entered already exists in the system. If it exists thena list of all matching Sequence Numbers is displayed to the user withthe option of merging the new upload into the same Sequence Numberotherwise the new Sequence Number is taken as the Sequence Number forthe Upload.
