Purpose You can use this report to update the user group cache for EnterpriseFile Search. Integration See the main documentation for report RSEFS_LDAP_USER_UPDATE. Features This report updates the user group cache table SEFS_LDAP_GROUP from theconfigured LDAP server. In contrast to report RSEFS_LDAP_USER_UPDATE, this report cannotperform an initial load. Cache entries are created on demand for eachuser group that is directly assigned to a user. One cache entry contains all security IDs that result from the completerecursive resolution of a given group. When you use transaction SE16 to check the cache table SEFS_LDAP_GROUP,you may notice that some groups have an empty list of security IDs.These groups cannot be used in access control lists. Nevertheless theymust be included in the cache to guarantee optimum performance. Selection You can select a single user group or specify a filter string. Standard_variants If you leave the select option empty, all user groups that are alreadyin the cache are updated. Output You will receive statistics containing the number of updated bufferentries. Activities To achieve maximum search performance in Enterprise File Search, youshould run this report every night in batch mode before running reportRSEFS_LDAP_USER_UPDATE. |
