Archiving Master Inspection Characteristics: Initial Run

Purpose
With this program, you can change the status of a master inspectioncharacteristic from 3 (no longer usable) to 4 (marked fordeletion). Master inspection characteristics with status 4 are eitherarchived or deleted during the next archiving run. However, this onlytakes place, if there is at least one subsequent version of the masterinspection characteristic in the system.

Features
Before the status change takes place, the system checks the retentionperiod of the master inspection characteristic. The change can onlytake place when the successor version has a valid-from date that liesbefore the beginning of the retention period.
The retention period is the difference between the actual date and thenumber of retention days(defined in Customizing at plant level).
