Archiving Inspection Characteristics: Archiving Program

Purpose
You can archive master inspection characteristics that you no longerneed to directly access, using the archiving program for inspectionmethods. The data is written to archive files and deleted from thesystem, if this operation is successful. You can display the archiveddata. A data restore is not supported.

Prerequisites
Inspection methods can only be archived:

• If the system found no usage during usage checks for this master data.


• If the successor version of the inspection methods has a valid-from
date that is before the beginning of the retention period.

Features
The archiving program writes the database tables to the archive formaster inspection characteristics with status 4. If the operation wassuccessful, the data is deleted from the system directly afterarchiving, depending on the settings in Customizing.
