Archiving Inspection Methods: Archiving Program

Purpose
You can archive inspection methods that you no longer need to directlyaccess, using the archiving program for inspection methods. The data iswritten in archive files and deleted from the system, if this operationis successful. You can display the archived data. A data restore is notsupported.

Prerequisites
Inspection methods can only be archived:

• If the system finds no usage during usage checks for this master data.


• If the successor version of the inspection methods has a valid-from
date that is before the beginning of the retention period.

Features
The archiving program writes the database tables to the archive forinspection methods with status 4. If the operation was successful, thedata is deleted from the system directly after archiving depending onthe Customizing settings.
