This report converts absence-related payroll data when upgrading from3.x to 4.0B or higher releases. The program converts data entered inthe Absences infotype (2001), that has already been processed ina payroll run and stored in Table AB.
You need only run this report once, after upgrading your system,and before re-opening your system.
The report:

• Converts the absence calendar stored in table NCALE on the PC cluster
to the new format.

• Fills the new table MSA with data taken from the results table (RT) and
the absence table (AB).

• Clears the contents of any infotype fields that are no longer used in
absence processing.

• Deletes SSP PIW records that are not used for SSP(1)L or leavers' data.

Precondition
Before upgrading, you must have already entered and processed all knownemployee data in the Absences infotype (2001), relevant for thetime up to the last payroll run prior to the upgrade. Run payroll andretroactive payroll for the current payroll period. Absences enteredfor a future period are not relevant in this case.
Before re-opening the system for data capture, you must convert thepayroll results. This provides an accurate base for subsequentretroactive calculations.

Activity
From the SAP initial screen, select System -> Services -> Reporting
.
Enter the name of the report (RPUABPG0).
Choose Execute.
In the subsequent screen (SSP/SMP Processing Conversion to 4.0),proceed as follows:
Enter the personnel number and/or payroll area.
Under Processing Options, in the Personnel subarea grouping for absenceand attendance types field, enter the value that matches that in TableT001P.
Under Update Options, select any combination of the following toexecute the report:
Test mode - no update:
If you select this box, the program runs in test mode. No payrollresults or infotypes are updated. The system displays information onemployee records that are to be successfully converted. The system alsodisplays error messages for any potential incorrectly-processedemployee records.
Update Table MSA
If you select this box, the new table MSA in the payroll cluster isupdated. You can do this in addition to the automatic update of tableAB and NCALE.
Wipe redundant infotype fields
In release 4.0 and higher, there are fields in infotypes 0085 (SSP1(L)Form Data), and 0088 (SMP Record), that are no longer necessary forcalculation. If you select this box, the contents of the followingfields are cleared:
,,P0085-CUTYP and P0085-CUPDW.

,,P0088-AVEWE.
,,This is cleared because the AWE is already included in the payrollresults.
You can select any combination of these checkboxes
After completing your selections, choose Execute.
You can also run this report in the background, by selecting Program ->Execute in background.
If errors occur, the employee data is notconverted.
