Purpose
This report is a tool that you may use:
if you are not entering absences (sickness and leave of absence)according to how many days should be calculated as sick day.
Example: An employee normally works Monday to Friday. He has leave ofabsence from Monday week 1 to Friday week 2 (= 12 calendar days).However, this is entered in the system as absence Monday to Friday week1 and Monday to Friday week 2 (5+5=10 days). Running the report willlead to a detection and correction of this case. (bridging of weekends)
The report corrects the following phenomenas:
leave of absence (identified through T5S0R-ABETP = 'T')
- bridging of weekend
- cut end to last work day
sickness (identified through T5S0R-ABETP = 'S')
- cut begin to first work day.
- bridging of weekend. The absence before the weekend will be extended,
if possible. If not possible, extend the absence after the weekend.
If this is also not possible, a warning will be given in the log.
Hint: In exceptional cases, the above described corrections are not
necessary / desired. Then use one of the following procedures:
1. Run the report for all employees. Check and adjust back exceptional
absences.
2. Run the report for all exployees, except those few employees, whose
absences should not be corrected. Check all absences of the excluded
employees manually.
3. Do not run the report. Do all adjustment manually.
