Programme SAP ROIB_COPY_DEF - Report for copying default sets from OIB03 to the new Default tables

Title
Copy selected parameter default sets from Table OIB03 to the newenhanced parameter default tables

Purpose
This report can be utilized to copy selected default parameter setsinto the new parameter default table. Default parameter sets usuallyhave a limited validity and have to be maintained periodically. It isthus not necessary to migrate all existing default sets into the newparameter default tables. Typically, default sets for the current andprevious posting periods should be sufficient.

Prerequisites
You have to activate the new QCI (Quantity ConversionInterface)default transaction O3DEFAULTS in customizing in order to usethese default sets in production. The report will mark all copieddefault sets in Table OIB03 by inserting a value of "N" into fieldOIB03-ABIND if this value had been set to " " before, and "M" intofield OIB03-ABIND if this value had been set to "X" before.
Then, these default sets can not be changed any more using the olddefault transaction. If necessary, you can set the "Reset OIB03-ABIND"flag and run the report. Then the original values will be restored intothis table field for all entries. This setting should ususally not benecessary and is intended for exceptional cases only.
You can then execute this report in update mode again and conversion ofthe selected default set will take place a second time. IMPORTANT:Whenever the conversion is executed, the system chooses the system timesy-uzeit, which is defaulted in the TIME field of the select options ofthe report, as time for the new default set. You can manually changethis time if you have to run the report again. Every run, however, willcreate additional sets in the new default table with the new time youchose to run the report with. If you choose identical times for tworuns for identical data sets, and the first run has been successful, the second run will fail.
The report creates entries into the new default tables OIB_DEF_INDEX_GM(Header data) and OIB_DEFAULTS (Items). The reading group customizinghas to be present for the new default data.
IMPORTANT: Read note 485876 for additional information.
