In preparation for the changeover to the Euro, and to provide moreextensive support for currency issues, we have provided you withfunctionality whereby you will be able to specify whether a catalogcolumn contains a charge factor or currency amounts as of Release 4.01.This means that the contents of a column will be interpreted either asan amount or as a charge factor. This also means that it will no longerbe possible to have 'hybrid forms' whereby the column content issometimes interpreted as a currency amount, and sometimes as a chargefactor. You will only be able to make this specification in columndetermination for a short transition period.
You can use this report to check the consistency of a catalog columndefinition with regard to its currency indicator. The report checkseach column of the catalogs you specify on the selection screen to seeif:
The catalog exists in the catalog type definition
The number of digits required after the decimal point for the catalogcurrency is the same as the number of spaces after the decimal pointdefined for the catalog column
The catalog column is used as a points column in column determination,but is flagged as a currency column
The catalog column is only ever used as a currency column in columndetermination, but the currency indicator has not been set
The catalog column is used both as a charge factor column and as acurrency column in column determination
The catalog column is not used in column determination at all
If the outcome of one of these tests is positive for a catalog column,a message appears beside this column in the results list. To displaythe message long text, position the cursor on the message in question,and choose Edit -> Choose. In the long text dialog, you canbranch to the appropriate section of the Implementation Guide, checkyour entries and make any necessary changes by choosing Functionentries.
