Programme SAP RN2UTDT_COPY - Copy Document Categories

Title
Copying Parameterized Document Categories (PMDs) on a System

Purpose
This program enables you to copy document categories with theirdevelopment elements, in order to use them as templates for a documentcategory that you wish to create for the first time. You can copy beyondthe boundaries of a client.
Note, however, that if possible, document categories should only bedeveloped on one client.
If you want to access a document category from just one additionalclient, you should use the program RN2UTDT_USE.
Execute the program in the client in which you wish to create the copy(target client). This program produces a copy of the current version ofthe source document category.
You can copy, for example, one i.s.h.med sample document category to useit as a template for a document category of your own.
The copies no longer have the status of the source documents (standardor sample). These objects' continued maintenance is purely up to theuser.
The copying of document categories is described in the componenti.s.h.med under Enhanced Base Data -> Parameterized DocumentCategories -> Definition of a Parameterized Document Category -> CopyDocument Category.

Selection
It is used to copy all of a PMD's definition data within a system.Source and target client and the institution can be different. If thisdata is identical, the names of the document categories must bedifferent.

Details on the source
The current version of a document category from a client and aninstitution is copied in each case. The elements of abstract and def
inite design only match a document category's current version. Thismatch is no longer guaranteed in previous versions.

Copy Variants
1. Document category with abstract design
This variant copies all elements of the abstract design.
2. Document category with element list and abstract design
This variant copies all the elements of the abstract and the definitedesign.
The names of the source objects are displayed in both variants and thetarget objects need naming. Apart from the master element target objectsare not allowed to have names which differ.
However, if no new name is assigned, when copying within a client, thesystem does not produce a second object either. In this case the sourceand target document category use the same documentation object.Subsequent changes to this documentation object affect all documentcategories which it is used in.
We recommend that you rename the definition objects you wish to create,if they are not supplied by external data modules.
