Programme SAP RJHIEWRK2 - IS-M/AM: Edit BU Hierarchy Work Areas (AI and Distribution)

Description
This report generates work areas for booking unit hierarchies of the

  • Ad insert and

  • Distibution item types.

  • If BU hierarchy work areas have been generated for these item types, this speeds up order processing considerably. This applies particularlyif you are working with large-scale booking unit hierarchies for AI ordistribution booking units. The use of BU hierarchy work areas replacesthe time consuming creation of BU hierarchies for the AI anddistribution item types.
This report generates sales area-specific and sales area-independent BUhierarchy work areas.
Sales area-specific BU hierarchy work areas are distinguished fromsales area-independent ones if you have defined BU restrictions for thesales areas.
The system initially searches for a sales area-specific BU work area.If this does not exist, it searches for a sales area-independent workarea. If this work area exists, the system does not display all rootsub-trees with root BUs that are not assigned to the current salesarea.

    Use
It is not absolutely necessary to generate BU hierarchy work areas. However, existing BU hierarchy work areas speed up order processing.
If you are using BU hierarchy work areas, you must ensure that therespective BU hierarchy work areas are generated again following eachchange to the BU master data.
The following changes to booking units mean that work areas must begenerated again:

    • Create booking unit

    • Delete booking unit

    • Change booking unit

    • Change restriction to sales areas
Change sales hierarchy for combined booking units
All time-dependent master data (planned circulation quantities, capacities) for booking units is not interpreted until order creation. This means that changes to this master data do not require BU hierarchywork areas to be generated.

      Precondition
The following prerequisites apply to BU hierarchies for ad inserts anddistribution (hierarchy type 01: Sales):

      • The higher and lower-level BUs must be assigned to the same usage (ad
      • insert or distribution).
        • No other BUs can be assigned to a basic BU

        • Cycles are forbidden. Cycles mean that a combined BU can only be used
        • once in each path of a root BU to a basic BU. If this requirement isfulfilled, a combined BU can also be used several times below a rootBU. Basic BUs can also be assigned several times below a root/combinedBU. If a combined BU to which basic BUs are assigned several times isbooked, each basic BU is only booked once.
          • The system only checks the restriction to sales areas for the root BU.
          • This means that root sub-trees or the restriction to sales areas mustbe homogeneous.
            • The system only checks BU attributes (salable from....to, blocking
            • indicators, deletion flag) in the order and those for the planningfunctions for booking units that are to be booked.
              • Basic booking units that are not included in a hierarchy are added to
              • the hierarchy as root BUs. This means that these booking units can bebooked independently of the active hierarchy version.

                Execution settings

                • Test run

                • Changes are not saved.
                  • With dialog

                  • Selected: Display the hierarchy as a tree.
Not selected: For batch processing. Display the hierarchy as a list.
                    • Display batch log

                    • The system displays the log if you have selected "With dialog".

                      Selection criteria for display
These settings are interpreted if you display a BU work area that hasalready been generated.

                      • Sales area

                      • If you have specified a sales area, the system sets the filter for thissales area in order to display a sales area-independent work area.
                        • Booking unit

                        • Display is restricted to the root sub-trees that the selected bookingunits contain.
                          • Check date

                          • All time-dependent statistics (planned circulation quantities, production units) are checked for this date.
The system only displays booking units for which production units existon this checking date for the AI BU hierarchy.
If no date is specified, the system displays all BUS in the work area. The production unit check is not performed.
                            • Processing category

                            • Capacity of AI basic BUs is dependent on the processing category(type).
                              • Distribution quantity type

                              • Planned circulation quantities for distribution BUs can be defined foreach distribution quantity type and period.

                                Annotation
Generating the BU work hierarchies may take some time depending on thesize of the hierarchy (number of booking units). Generation progresscan be displayed in the status bar. You must assign value J to theGET/SET parameter
JJBE_SIN (IS-MAM: Progress indicator (BU work areas) to do so.
The value in the GET/SET-Parameter SIN (Progress Indicator on/off)overrides the entry for JJBE_SIN. If SIN = 0, no update progress isdisplayed in the status bar independently of the value in the GET/SETparameter JJBE_SIN (see also note 51373)

                                Glossary
