Programme SAP RHCPRI00_LSO - Determine Course Costs and Propose as Price

Description
This report finds all the cost items stored for a course and calculatesthem on the basis of reservation times and reference units.
The price proposed is the price for an individual participant, enablingyou to fix realistic prices that adequately cover your course costs. You can adopt the proposed price as the course event price.
You can determine a price for one or more courses simultaneously asrequired. The same applies to adopting the proposed price as the courseprice for multiple courses at one go.

Integration
This report has a pre-report RHXCPRI0 with asimplified selection screen.

Scope_of_function
The report calculates a price proposal based on the cost items storedfor the course and either the optimum capacity or the actual number ofparticipants booked for the course. You adopt the proposed price foryour course by transferring it to infotype 1021.
Note:
When you transfer the proposed price, any other prices stored for bothinternal and external participants are overwritten.
You can also use this report to calculate price proposals foralternative course schedules and costs (subtypes of the infotypesTime Schedule and Costs).
The following items are added together to determine a price proposal:
Cost items of course (E)
Cost items of course type (D)
Cost items of resources (G) reserved for the course
Cost items of resource type (R)
Cost items of the equipment (R) in the room reserved
If the same cost items are maintained for both the course and thecourse type, the values stored for the course itself are taken. Thesame applies to cost items stored for resource types and resources, thevalues stored for the actual resources are taken.

Selection
You can specify what data you want included in the report:

Objects
There are multiple options for starting the report:
Enter one or more course groups: The system determines all ofthe courses that belong to these groups and determines price proposalsfor each of them.
Enter one or more course types: The system determines all of thecourses that belong to these groups and determines price proposals foreach of them.
Enter one or more courses directly: The system determines priceproposals for each of them.

Reporting period
Enter the period for which you want a price proposed. The report onlyincludes courses whose start date lies within the selection period.

Course schedule
You can specify a subtype of the Time Schedule infotype (1035)stored for the courses to be used as the time unit in the calculation.
Subtype 0001 is the default setting.

Subtype of Costs
You can specify a subtype of the Costs infotype (1036) if youwant to have the cost items stored there used as the basis for theprice proposal.
Subtype 0001 is the default setting.

Status of Costs
You can specify a status for the Costs infotype. In this way youcan prevent the report from including data that is in planned statusfor example.
This field is empty (SPACE) by default which means that the reportincludes both active and planned costs in the calculation by default.

Currency
You must specify the currency for the price proposal.

Basis: Optimum capacity
You can select this parameter to specify that the report should alwaysuse the optimum capacity determined for the course as the calculationbasis. (This is the business event capacity taking the room capacityinto account.)
If you do not select this parameter, the calculation basis depends onthe planning status of the course as follows:
If a course is in planned status, the optimum capacity (underconsideration of the resource capacity) is taken. If a course is infirmly booked status, the actual number of participants bookedis used for price determination.

Output
The report outputs the following information per course:

  • The individual cost items

  • The origin of the individual cost items (e.g. resource)

  • The status of the individual cost items

  • The price of the individual cost items

  • The reference unit (e.g. time)

  • The sum total of course costs (proposed price) and the calculation
  • basis used (such as the optimum capacity of the course)
    • The individual amount of course costs per participant

    • You can execute the following functions from the list screen:
      • Transfer the proposed price as the course price. To do so, you must
      • select the indicator Propose as course price and chooseExecute price proposal. When you do so, the price is transferredto the Price infotype (1021) appended to the course.
Transfer the proposed price to all courses in the report with thefunction Select all.
        • Display the resource list of the course

        • Display the resources not yet assigned, in other words,
        • resources that have not yet been reserved and are still required forthe course.

          Example
The following cost items are relevant for a five-day course with theoptimum number of participants (the calculation basis for the priceproposal):
          For the course itself:

          • 10.- Training manuals (per participant)

          • For the corresponding course type:
            • 15.- Training manuals (per participant)

            • 20.- Beverages and catering (per participant)

            • Reserved resources:
              • 200.- Room (per day)

              • Resource types:
                • 150.- Room (per day)

                • The price proposal results from adding the following items:
                  • 100,- Training manuals (origin: course)

                  • 200.- Beverages and catering (origin: course type)

                  • 1000.- Room (origin: course)

                  • The sum total of 1300.- is divided by ten (the optimum capacity)resulting in a price proposal of 130.- per participant. If you selectthe option Propose as course price and choose Execute priceproposal, the price of 130.- is written to infotype 1021 as internaland external price of the course.
