Purpose
This program converts the commitment items of an FM area fromyear-dependent to year-independent. It does this by comparing fields ofcommitment item master data. Of these fields, the predeterminedcomparison fields are:

• Attribute: can be posted to


• Financial Transaction


• Commitment Item Category


• Statistical Commitment Item

In addition, you may select other fields. If the former budgeting isactive, the superior commitment item field is also used in thecomparison. When the comparison indicates different values in thefields over time, the user is informed.
Also, for customers who work in the area of the German local authority,Saldenbudgetzuordnung, the following fields of the Assign BudgetStructure Elements (table FMZUBSP) are compared:

• Balance Funds Center


• Balance Cmmt Item


• Balance percentage rate


• Balance commitment item plan year+1


• Balance percentage rate plan year+1


• Balance commitment item plan year+2


• Balance percentage rate plan year+2


• Balance commitment item plan year+3


• Balance percentage rate plan year+3


• Balance commitment item plan year+4


• Balance percentage rate plan year+4

When the comparison indicates different values in the fields over time,the user is informed.
When you run the program in test mode (by checking the relevant box inthe selection screen), no database updates take place and the conversionfrom year dependent to year independent is not carried out. You arestrongly advised to do this before performing a live run.
The program uses the fiscal year entered to obtain the values of theattributes from the commitment item of that year for the newyear-independent commitment item.
