Purpose
You use this program to convert electronic bank statements in formatLSV+ into MultiCash format. The LSV+ format contains detailed feedbackon direct-debit payments that were successfully carried out. The programis for use in Switzerland only.

Prerequisites
To use this program, you need to configure the standard electronic bankstatement in Customizing for Financial Accounting (FI), underBank Accounting > Business Transactions > PaymentTransactions > Electronic Bank Statement >Make Global Settings for Electronic BankStatement.
If you process the converted files using report RFEBKA00, then make thesetttings as described in its report documentation.

Features
The program reads the format-specific electronic bank statement fileeither from your PC (hard or floppy disk) or from a file system, andgenerates two files in MultiCash format: a statement file and a lineitem file. The statement file contains general data relating to the bankstatement (for example, the statement number, the total debit amount,the total credit amount, the currency, the house bank account number,and the total number of items in the line item file), and the line itemfile contains information about the individual transactions.
Once this program converts the statement into MultiCash format, thesystem can process the data and clear the open items with reportRFEBKA00. You can maintain a variant for this purpose.

Activities
Specify the following information on the selection screen:

• The file format you wish to convert, and format-specific data

For LSV+ format, you must enter your company code, house bank, andaccount ID so that the system knows where to post the payments and clearthe open items.

• The file to be converted


• File names for the resulting MultiCash statement and line-item files


• Whether the converted files are to be processed further with report
RFEBKA00, and a report variant if required
