Title
Create UIS Version for Mass Simulation

Purpose
You can copy data from billing documents, that were generated by masssimulation, to the sales statistics (UIS). This data must be managed inthe UIS in a version. The version for actualdata and the versions for the set up of new statistical data are notsuitable. Therefore you must create a new version. This report enablesyou to do this.

Integration
You normally create a separate version number for eachsimulation period ID. This enables you to easilydifferentiate between the data of different mass simulation runs in theUIS. You can also simulate a contract more than once for the sameperiod for actual billing. However, if you update this data in the sameversion, the results are distorted.

Selection

  • Enter the name of the version that you want to create.

  • Enter a simulation type for which the
    • Update to UIS indicator is set.

    Output
    The report determines all information structures that are allocated tothe simulation type. It generates the new version for these informationstructures. This is because the versions always relate to aninformation structure. You can update billingdocuments from a mass simulation run in several informationstructures, but only in one version.

    Example

    • Create the information structures S600 and S601.

    • In the view cluster VC_TE535 Mass Simulation Type, create mass
      • simulation type UREV. Select the field Update Mass SimulationDocuments to UIS.
      • Allocate the mass simulation type to the information structures:

        • Mass simulation type UREV, Information structure S600
        Mass simulation type UREV, Information structure S601
        • Execute this report with version B01 and mass simulation type UREV. The
          • report generates the following versions based on these entries:
          Version B01 for information structure S600, text: Sim. 1st quarter 2000residential customer
          Version B01 for information structure S601, text: Sim. 1st quarter 2000nonresidential customer
          • Create simulation period P00-01 in table TE537 Mass Simulation
            • Periods with the following properties:
            Text: Simulation 1st quarter 2000
            Mass simulation type: UREV
            UIS version: B01
            Result: With mass simulation the data is updated to the informationstructures S600 and S601 with version B01.
            • If you later want to perform a further mass simulation, create new
              • version B02 with simulation in 2nd quarter of 2000, and create the newsimulation period P00-02 with simulation in the 2nd quarter of 2000.
