Description
This program converts the materialcategory (field ATTYP) of single materials in retail from ' ' to'00'. This is necessary since the new matchcode search help makes itpossible to search for materials via the material category. However,since the fixed value ' ' for the material category singlematerial causes problems in the matchcode search, the fixed value'00' is used for these materials.
The program checks in table MAW1 whether retail materials exist. As aresult, only retail customers are affected by this conversion.

Precondition
You need run this converter program only if both of thefollowing conditions apply:

• You have created material master data using a 1.2B* Retail Release.


• You now want to switch to Release 4.0A or 4.0B.

Output
For each client, the program logs the number of MARA data recordsconverted correctly. If a database error occurs during an UPDATE, theprogram continues with the next client. After you have resolved theproblem, you must restart the program so that the data records not yetconverted can be reprocessed.
