Description The issue directory for newspapers includes the number of copies andpostal packs and other characteristics of a certain newspaper issue; itis used principally for checks by the PTT. You can record additional characteristics such as the PTT newspapernumber, format, text portion and the address of the sold-to party. To save having to enter the above data repeatedly, it is advisable tocreate a variant for this list. You can define the publication date as aformula for the variant (for example publication date = current date). You must enter the plant, publication, edition, issue number and/orpublication date. Precondition Planning and bundling must be completed for an issue before thedirectory can be created. The actual weight of an issue must be recorded in the issue data so thatit can be displayed. Output The issue directory for the PTT is created with the following data: PTTnewspaper number (manual entry or from edition data), newspaper title(edition), publication date or issue number (manual entry, from variantif applicable), format (manual entry or from edition data), text portion(manual entry or from edition data), actual weight per copy (from issue) , and dispatcher address. If the actual weight of the issue has not been maintained, the systemdisplays a message informing you of this. The following data is displayed for domestic postal shipping:
- Copy weight including inserts but without inserts subject to charge
- Number of copies subscribed/bundles, trial copies, field post copies,
and number of copies/bundles with carrier file remuneration. The following data is displayed for foreign postal shipping:
- Copy weight including inserts
- Number of copies per package type variant and country grouping.
