Programme SAP IPPECIF_COMPARE - iPPE: CIF Comparison Tool

Title
Comparison of an iPPE model, based on a production version in the SAPR/3 and SAP APO systems.

Purpose
You can use the CIF comparison tool to determine whether an iPPE model,based on a production version, in the SAP R/3 system differs from theone in the SAP APO system.

SAP DI46C2 and SAP APO3.1

Selection

  • Material number, plant and production version.

  • Logical system (APO) whose data you wish to compare with the data from
  • the production version in the SAP R/3 system.

    Activities
    Comparison in Dialog Mode:
    Start the comparison tool (transaction PPECIF01) in the SAP R/3 system.
    Enter the necessary data.
    Run the comparison (Execute pushbutton or F8)
    The system displays an overview of the comparison results. Anydifferences that are found are listed on a tab page according to iPPEapplication.
    Incorrect objects are displayed on the tab pages on individual lines.
    There are three types of errors:
    The object exists only in the SAP R/3 system.
    The object exists only in the SAP APO system.
    The detailed data for the object differs in the two systems.

    • When you double-click the line, the system displays the differences for
    • the object in a separate dialog box.
      • If necessary, you can select several lines and display a comprehensive
      • detailed list (Display Detailed List pushbutton).
        The system indicates critical differences with a red traffic light andother differences with an amber traffic light.
        Comparison in the Background:
        Create a variant for the program IPPECIF_COMPARE (transaction PPECIF01or SE38).
        Schedule a background job to run the program for the variant(transaction SM36).
        Check whether the job is finished (transaction SM37). The system writesthe results in the background under a log number in the applicationlog.
        Evaluate the results from the application log (transaction SLG1). Tofind the log quickly, you can enter the following optional data:
        Object = PVS
        Date/time
        User
        Program = SAPLPVSMC
        Create log = in batch mode.
