Purpose
You can use this program to create a backup copy of the totals recordsfrom General Ledger Accounting. The backup copy is required for thesubsequent implementation of document splitting. Integration Prerequisites
- You are using new General Ledger Accounting.
- Document splitting is not active in the company codes to be
migrated.
- The migration plan for which you would like to create the backup copy is
defined with migration type 4 (Subsequent Implementation of DocumentSplitting).Features
The program copies to a backup client the data from the ledgers andcompany codes that are assigned to the migration plan. It creates thebackup copy for the time interval following the migration date specifiedin the migration plan (generally the current fiscal year).
The backup client is not a client that actually exists in thesystem. The system first determines this client during program runtimeand uses it to temporarily store data from all other clients thatactually exist in the system. To ensure that the data from the differentclients can be assigned uniquely, you can only implement documentsplitting consecutively in the respective client.
