Purpose This report is used to check customer-defined attributes and set typescreated using transaction COMM_ATTRSET. The report checks allcustomer-defined set types available in the system. The various checksand error diagnoses are described below. Features Check Attributes> This option checks the following:
- Whether all DDIC objects exist for the attributes (error diagnosis: No
DDIC objects exist). The error should be corrected by regenerating theattribute concerned using transaction COMM_ATTRSET. If this is noteffective, contact SAP.
- Whether the flag COMC_ATTRIBUTE-SAPFLAG has been set for standard SAP
attributes or has not been set for a customer-defined attribute (errordiagnosis: Customer-defined attribute with SAPFLAG=''). An attributethat has already been transported is regarded as a standard SAPattribute in the development system. SAPFLAG is also checked in thetable COMC_SETTYP_ATTR.
- Whether descriptions in the logon language are complete. They can be
maintained in transaction COMM_ATTRSET for the attribute concerned, ifnecessary (error diagnosis: Description missing in logon language).
- Whether the F4 help structures of attributes are complete for the
People-Centric UI (error diagnosis: Attribute with incorrect MVstructure). The activation of the related table types and F4 helpstructures is also checked, error diagnoses: MV_DS structure of attribute is not active MV_S structure of attribute is not active MV_DT structure of attribute is not active MV_T structure of attribute is not active
- Whether there are attributes with the same attribute IDs but different
attribute GUIDs (error diagnosis: Duplicate attributes with differentGUIDs).
- Compares the database tables COMC_ATTRIBUTE and COMC_ATTRIBUTE_T in
terms of completeness and redundancy. If the COMC_ATTRIBUTE_T entry ismissing for a COMC_ATTRIBUTE entry, the error diagnosisCOMC_ATTRIBUTE->COMC_ATTRIBUTE_T is issued. If the COMC_ATTRIBUTE entryis missing for a COMC_ATTRIBUTE_T entry, the error diagnosisCOMC_ATTRIBUTE<-COMC_ATTRIBUTE_T is issued. Check Set Types> This option checks the following:
- Whether all DDIC objects exist for the set types (error diagnosis: No
DDIC objects exist). The error should be corrected by regenerating theset type concerned using transaction COMM_ATTRSET. Note however thatmanual changes made to set types may be overwritten during regeneration. If the error still exists after regeneration, contact SAP.
- Whether the flag COMC_SETTYPE-GENFLAG has not been set for standard SAP
set types or has been set for a customer-defined set type. Theconsistency of the attributes of a set type is also checked (errordiagnosis: Attributes of set type inconsistent).
- Whether descriptions in the logon language are complete. They can be
maintained in transaction COMM_ATTRSET for the set type concerned, ifnecessary (error diagnosis: Description missing in logon language).
- Whether the set type table is active (error diagnosis: Set type table
inactive status).
- Whether API structures still exist for set types that have been deleted.
Depending on which API structure is affected, the following errors maybe displayed: COMT_PROD_FIN_MAINTAIN_API contains errors COMT_PROD_IP_MAINTAIN_API contains errors COMT_PROD_MAT_MAINTAIN_API contains errors COMT_PROD_SRV_MAINTAIN_API contains errors COMT_PROD_WTY_MAINTAIN_API contains errors
- Whether the attributes assigned to the set types are complete and
consistent. The consistency report checks whether attributes exist forthe set type (error diagnosis: Attributes do not exist for set type), orare incomplete (error diagnosis: Attributes for set type areinconsistent).
- If there are errors in the assignment of set type to product. If there
are entries missing in COMM_PROD_FRG compared with COMC_SETTYPE, theerror diagnosis that the set type does not have an entry in tableCOMM_PROD_FRG is issued. If there are COMM_PROD_FRG entries but noCOMC_SETTYPE entry, the error diagnosis is issued that the COMM_PROD_FRGentry (or entries) is superfluous.
- Whether there are inconsistencies regarding the field
COMC_SETTYPE-GENFLAG in COMC_SETTYPE and COMC_SETTYP_ATTR.
- Compares the database tables COMC_SETTYPE and COMC_SETTYPE_T in terms of
completeness and redundancy. If the COMC_SETTYPE_T entry is missing fora COMC_SETTYPE entry, the error diagnosis COMC_SETTYPE->COMC_SETTYPE_Tis issued. If the COMC_SETTYPE entry is missing for a COMC_SETTYPE_Tentry, the error diagnosis COMC_SETTYPE<-COMC_SETTYPE_T is issued. Check Syntax> This option checks for syntax errors in all customer-defined set typefunction groups. By selecting the function groups with errors and thenchoosing Regenerate Set Types>, the set type and its functiongroups can be regenerated. Note however that manual changes made to settypes may be overwritten during regeneration. If syntax errors stillexist after regeneration, there is an error in the set type template. Inthis case, contact SAP. Missing Function Groups> This option checks for missing function groups for each customer-definedset type and lists the function groups concerned. By selecting thefunction groups with errors and choosing Regenerate Set Types>,the missing function group can be regenerated. Regenerate Set Types> This option displays all set types (standard and customer-defined).Customers, however, can only regenerate customer-defined set types bychoosing Regenerate Set Types>. Note that manual changes made toset types may be overwritten during regeneration. Regenerate Attributes> This option displays all customer-defined attributes. Only these can beregenerated by choosing Regenerate Attributes>.
