Programme SAP CIF_EMRG_QINSCHED - Report CIF_EMRG_QINSCHED

Purpose
You can use this program in cases where the processing of CIF queueentries (LUWs) by the scheduler for inbound queues (QIN scheduler)results in performance bottlenecks. These performance bottlenecks canoccur, for example, if a large number of CIF queue entries have piled upin the inbound queue as a result of system downtimes or other technicalsystem problems.
Note that this program is intended for emergency situations only. Donot use this program as the default replacement for the QIN scheduler. For this reason, make sure that you reset the settings that have beentemporarily changed in transaction SMQR to the original valuesimmediately after the program has finished.

The selection screen contains the following fields:

  • Recipient

  • Here you enter the recipient who is to be informed automatically whenthe program has finished.
    • Recipient Type

    • A recipient type can be the name of user or an Internet address, forexample.

      Output
After the program has finished, the system sends a notification to therecipient.

      Activities
You use transaction SMQR to call the QIN scheduler. You delete theexisting registered entries and register new entries with the prefix ZZ.
For the CIF queues this means that you delete the entry CF* and create anew entry ZZCF*. As a result of this, the CIF queue entries are ignoredby the QIN scheduler and can only be processed by the program/SAPAPO/CIF_EMRG_QINSCHED.
You start the program /SAPAPO/CIF_EMRG_QINSCHED. To avoid performanceproblems and timeouts during the execution of the program, you can onlyexecute the program in background processing mode. During the runtime, the program writes additional information about the queues that havebeen started to the spool. The program ends after a defined number ofinternal runs.
After the program has finished, the recipient specified in the selectionscreen is notified automatically.
If there are still a large number of CIF queue entries in the inboundqueue after the program has finished, start the program again.
After the program has finished, reset the settings that were temporarilychanged in transaction SMQR to the original values. The notificationshould ensure that the settings are reset in a timely way.
