Description
The program BPCARRY01 executes the copying of a Budget structure(BS) into a target year. You use the BScopier for year-dependent BS maintenance. The budget structure of an FMarea valid before the target year is used as a template.
The program supports the derivation strategy for reassigning FM accountassignments in the closing operations to be carried out. You can alsouse the program without the derivation strategy. If you do this, thelast valid BS is copied, provided that the master data exists in thetarget year too.

Precondition

• You do not work with total values.


• The fund is also valid in the target year.


• No BS has been created for the fund in the target year.


• The funds centers and commitment items of the BS elements are created in
the target year and/or the attributes of this master data are allowed inthe target year.

• Reassignment using the derivation strategy: You have defined the
settings in the IMG activity Define DerivationStrategy for Reassignment.

Features
The BS copier program copies the BS data for each fund. Only theBS Elements that are valid in the targetyear are copied. Then you can change the BS you copied in the BSindividual maintenance. You have to maintain errors in data recordsmanually. You cannot start the program a second time.

Note:
The report checks whether the master data required is maintained in thetarget year. The master data hierarchy is not checked. If changes havebeen made to the master data hierarchy in the target year, you have tocheck the consistency of the BS after copying.

Special Features for BS Template
The program partly supports the copying of BS templates. The programcopies the assignments of BS templates to the appropriate funds centers.You must have created the BS templates in the target year before youstart the copying program. You must generate the BS using the programBudget Structure: Generate Objects from BS Templatesafter copying.
You also have the option of expanding the BS template during copying andonly transferring the BS elements contained in it to the target year.

Output
After successfully copying a BS, you get a confirmation for therespective fund. In the event of errors, the incorrect data records arelisted for a BS.
