Purpose
This program creates a UII and assigns it to an equipment.
Program Procedure
Check if the material number exists in the responsible plant
Search for an existing IUID type
Check if the indicator for external generation is initial
Selection of material/serial number from EQUI/EQBS related to theselection criteria and check if UII is initial
Display of the result in an ALV
User can select single or multiple lines for UII generation
Function "UPDA" will create UIIs
Function "SIMU" will only simulate the UII generation (w/o data baseupdate)
Generation of UIIs
With a BAdI you can set a status in the generation of UIIs.
Save of result in related equipment

Prerequisites
You have completed the Customizing settings for Item UniqueIdentification (IUID).
In the material master record, you did not specify the IUID type and didnot set the External Allocation of UII indicator.

Example
A UII for material JP0001DE shall be created and assigned.
Basic data:

• Responsible plant: 0001


• Issuing agency code for Dun&Bradstreet®: UN


• Enterprise ID for a D-U-N-S® number: 333637689


• IUID type in material master: UID2


• External Allocation of UII indicator is not set.


• Existing stock (EQBS) for serial number (in EQUI): 000000000000000001

The report will generate the following UII for this existing stock:UN333637689JP0001DE000000000000000001.
