Logical name of an ORACLE database

Parameter description
This parameter is used to identify the ORACLE database to which anapplication server is to establish a connection. For a successfuldatabase connect, ORACLE SQL*NET V2 needs to be installed, and anappropriate entry with the specified name must exist in the SQL*Net V2tnsname.ora configuration file. For information on how thisconfiguration file is generated and where it can be stored, refer to theinstallation documentation.
