Pathname for Archive FilesNo longer used as of Release 2.1 D. Prior to this release,specifies the path name for archive files generated with the SAParchiving function (transaction F040). You can select anydirectory path that you wish. However, you should observe thefollowing two restrictions: Select a locally-mounted directoryon the data base server. To ensure data security, you shouldnot specify a directory that is remotely mounted. The file namemust be as follows: R+++++++. The archiving function replacesthe +-signs with characters according to the naming conventiondescribed in the archiving documentation.
Example: /usr/sap/archiv/R+++++++
