Paramètre SAP rdisp/wp_max_no - maximum number of startable work processes

Parameter
rdisp/wp_max_no

Short text
Maximum number of startable work processes
The parameter rdisp/wp_max_no defines the maximum number of workprocesses that the server can start and therefore defines the size ofthe internal process table.
During the start-up of the server, the work processes resulting from thefollowing parameters are started: rdisp/wp_no_dia
, rdisp/wp_no_vb
rdisp/wp_no_vb2, rdisp/wp_no_enq,rdisp/wp_no_btc, andrdisp/wp_no_restricted. The total ofthe parameters must be smaller than or equal to the value of parameterrdisp/wp_max_no.
If the operating mode is switched, the number of individual processtypes can be changed. The criterion that the total must not exceed thevalue of rdisp/max_wp_no still applies.
The "new" possibility of creating processes dynamically is also used forhandling deadlocks. If all the processes of a type, such as dialog, arein the status "On Hold", a process with this type is restarted, ifpossible. After the bottleneck has been resolved, the dynamic process isstopped again. For more information, see the documentation for theparameter rdisp/dynamic_wp_check.
To remain compatible with "old" configurations, you can assign the valueDEFAULT to the parameter. In this case, the value of the parameter isthe total of the above parameters plus 2.
