SAP Note addresses the technical challenge in the SD-FI integration where reference number (XBLNR) and assignment number (ZUONR) in customer line items, are CHAR fields that demand users to enter leading zeros when filtering by reference numbers. This occurs because billing document numbers, transferred with leading zeros, are used as reference numbers. Implementation of the suggested program changes is necessary to mitigate this issue. Indicated modifications include setting parameters and deactivating new procedures (post-Release 46A) where applicable. Caution must be exercised, as outlined solutions are modifications to standard processes and may impact future system upgrades or maintenance.
