SAP has issued a standard preliminary correction (SPC) under the designation “Pilot release” to address an error in the function of an SAP application. This correction, provided by the Installed Base Maintenance & Support department, is initially available only for the SAP release in which the error was reported. Subsequent availability for other releases and inclusion in Support Packages may follow. Implementing this SPC through transaction SNOTE might require re-implementation post Support Package import due to possible overwrite issues. For effective tracking and upgrade management, tag the transport request with "SPC_". Accessing pilot release notes requires specific steps as they are not searchable through standard note search tools.
