When using Transaction ME51N in SAP to create purchase requisitions, an error in the number range determination for 'PREQ' can lead to suppressed error messages and issuance of document numbers like '# 1'. This also causes text attachments from such requisitions to appear in subsequent ones. Identified as a programming error, an advanced correction has been provided. SAP recommends archiving affected requisitions using ME52N and Transaction SARA (MM_EBAN object). For early archiving, residence times in Customizing might need setting to zero temporarily. Manual deletion in tables STXH and STXL for erroneous entries linked to 'EBANH' and '# 1' is also advised.
