Résumé :
SAP Note identifies an Oracle error related to 'extent overflow' in versions 6 and 7, where a table exceeds its allowed maximum number of extents. This results in error 1556 and error 1631 respectively. To mitigate the issue, there are two solutions proposed. Firstly, adjusting the maximum number of extents where necessary, utilizing SAPDBA for a menu-guided interface which is beneficial during system run-time, or directly reorganizing the table which requires halting the SAP system. Alternatively, using UNIX/Oracle tools, adjustments can be made to storage parameters like 'next_extent' and 'max_extents', immediately allowing system operation continuation, followed by recommended table reorganization during non-peak times.
