When updating goods movements from confirmations in SAP, users may encounter short dumps with message MESSAGE_TYPE_X and error RU803. This issue can occur if Note 214214 was implemented incorrectly. To troubleshoot, users should implement Note 353094 under the guidance of SAP Development Support Manufacturing. A temporary modification, this solution implements an error tracking mechanism that should be used only as directed. If short dumps with message 888 instead of RU803 arise post-implementation, users must report back to SAP Development Support Manufacturing (component PP-SFC-EXE-GM) for further analysis and precise error data capture.
